Florida has reciprocity agreements with several states that allow contractors licensed in Florida and those other states to more easily obtain licenses based on their current licensure status. Getting a license through reciprocity is different than getting a license through endorsement, though the processes and results can be similar.
In August 2022, Florida and Mississippi entered into reciprocity agreements with each other that allow certain types of contractors with a license issued by one state to obtain a similar license in the other without having to take the full trade exam.
